In the heart of the green Umbrian countryside, just 12kms from Perugia and 15 from Lago Trasimeno, “Palazzo Grande Residenza d’Epoca” is a splendid 17th century villa situated in the centre of a vast 30-hectare estate.
The park contains a large swimming pool and the remains of a small Arcadia: ruins, statues, grottoes and fountains… - an ideal place for relaxation, surrounded by the tranquility of a secular wood, an olive grove, a cherry and walnut trees and farmland which recall the Roman period when the place was the setting of a ‘rustic villa’.

Many centuries later, between 1846 and 1861, the aristocratic medieval building hosted the Papal Delegation, and in 1961, the Generosi family who still live there, bought the villa which had been abandoned, and renovated it to its ancient splendour.

Today, the aristocratic renaissance building, with austere exterior, surprises its guests with the richness of the interior which still has the atmosphere of an aristocratic building: salon with 17th century frescoes, decorated panelled ceiling and a large fireplace with aristocratic coat of arms, other delightful rooms for cocktails, tea or reading, a chapel with rare Neo-Gothic altar and lastly,19 elegantly and comfortably furnished spacious bedrooms that have preserved the fascination of centuries past and the warmth of a country house with original furniture, paintings and objects.
