The origins of the majestic “Castello di Montignano” date back to 962a.d. when, in Milan, Otto I of Saxony was crowned Emperor of Germany and King of Italy and the county, which also included Montignano, was assigned to Count Arnolfo, courtier and relative of the emperor, being a faithful overlord.

Meticulously renovated until the beginning of 2009, the ‘fabulous new hotel’ (Condast) is set in the community of Massa Martana and is ideal for those who want to visit Umbria – just 10 minutes from Todi, an average of 30 from Perugia, Spoleto, Terni and Orvieto and just an hour or so from Assisi – at the same time as enjoying the charm of an ancient aristocratic residence, with personalized service and refined areas for unforgettable moments: splendid ‘Sala Camino’ (Fireplace Salon), reading room with library corner, American Bar/Wine Bar with snacks and light menus in a particularly evocative context, swimming pool set among the greenery and avant-garde Wellness Centre.
