A few minutes from the sea, close to Riposto’s top-notch tourist port and the marvellous Ionian Coast with its sun-kissed citrus groves against the spectacular background of majestic Etna, “Donna Carmela” is ready to welcome you in a 19th century Sicilian house, placed in the heart of a nursery specialised in Mediterranean plants – and just 25 km from the amazing town of Taormina.

Elegantly refined, the building has been refurbished in full respect of the original but given all the modern comforts. It dominates ten thousand square metre nursery garden where you may enjoy a guided tour to discover the hundreds of scents and varieties of Mediterranean plants. It is also possible to admire the proprietors’ private collection of subtropical plants – an oasis full of colours and flavours!

The courtyards in lavic paving and river pebbles, the ancient cistern, the well-stocked wine cellar and the swimming pool surrounded by secular olive trees, the comfortable spaces designed to relax and the quiet reading room, the wide halls and ample dining room with furniture cared for in detail: all this has been designed to make your stay exceptional.

The guests can choose between 18 rooms of different dimensions and style, distributed among two distinct buildings. Nine junior suites, organized on two levels, and three suites with large rooms, panoramic terraces and refined furnishings satisfy even the most demanding needs.

And an annex set amidst the plants and flowers of the nursery houses a beautiful apartment, providing a real sense of privacy and space. All the environments are distinguished for their finery and for the high quality of the materials and offer the perfect setting from which to explore Sicily, its innumerable cultural attractions and nature highlights.
