Borgo Giusto

Borgo Giusto is a small village in Seicento that has been completely renovated with great attention to the use of recuperated materials so that the original structure of the village is maintained. In the Borgo today, there are 28 apartments with original stone walls, brick terraces and portals that date back to four centuries ago.

The apartments are warm and welcoming, furnished with walnut and chestnut wood furniture and have terracotta floors, but at the same time they have all modern comforts and facilities. The same style has been adopted for the other villas not far from the Borgo, which have equipped gardens and are surrounded by olive trees and grapevines.

There is a characteristic restaurant in the Borgo with three lovely salons created from the converted ‘capanne’ huts of the villagers, and in which you can savour traditional dishes from Lucca and Tuscany prepared , as they did long ago, in the two wood-burning ovens – accompanied by wines of our rural factory.

Enjoyment and relaxation are guaranteed with three swimming pools; one for adults with a hydro-massage bath next to it, one for children and also one in the little town of Partigliano, amongst the olive trees;bar, a children’s play area, a Wellness Centre with sauna, turkish bath, relax area with tea and infusion with the possibility to book treatments and massagges.

Furthermore, there are numerous pathways and tracks leaving from the Borgo set in uncontaminated nature and which invite you to go on panoramic walks on foot, mountain bike or horse, reaching some little medieval villages and the grasslands of mount Guzzanello.City or wine shopping trips with a tourist guide, visit of medieval villagges, trekking on Apuan Alps are additions to the list of possible entertainments.

The splendid town of Lucca with its bulwarks, renaissance walls over 4km long and delightful markets is only a quarter of an hour’s distance from the Borgo and Florence about 50nm. Other destinations not to be missed are the Villas of Lucchesia, the Via Francigena ancient way (the medieval pilgrimage road going from Rome to Canterbury), the Alps Apuane Park and the Collodi Park, and Pinocchio’s house,Wind Cave, Barga (Medieval town).
