La Bastide de Gordes & Spa

A fascinating 5th century residence, “Bastide de Gordes & Spa” boasts an incomparable panorama over the countryside of Lubéron and its buttresses of the Maritime Alps.

The superb building with sober yet majestic façade is decorated by enchanting terraces whose walls were once part of the bastions of Gordes.

The atmosphere is that of a welcoming private house. Crossing the threshold of the hotel, you will be immediately surrounded by an aura of warmth which recalls a family residence rather than a classic hotel. Spacious and decorated in delightful Provencal style, all the 45 bedrooms and suites have magnificent views over the valley or the village.

The bathrooms are also large and enhanced by typical red hand-crafted tiles. In the centre of Bastide, Daniel Jouvance, maestro of therapy based on seawater, has created a SPA area of over 800 square metres, directly accessible from the bedrooms.

For lunch, the ‘Bistrot de la Vérande’ has a light menu which changes daily, while in the evening, dinner is served in the sumptuous surroundings of the restaurant or on the terrace with spectacular panoramic view. Let yourselves be seduced by the gastronomic dishes based on fresh seasonal products and old Provencal and Mediterranean flavours – all accompanied by the best regional wines.

Enjoy a snack, a coffee or an aperitif in the bar, in front of the fireplace or on the terrace, and visit – absolutely not to be missed – the fantastic wine cellars that boast a large choice of wines from local vineyards and at favourable prices, as well as a delightful selection of aristocratic French spirits, cognac, rum, whisky etc. The wine steward will be happy to help you choose from among the 800 labels and 20,000 bottles.
