Peckforton Castle, set on a hillside above the rolling Cheshire Plain, is a magnificent Victorian country house built by Lord Tollemache in 1844 in the style of a Medieval Castle. In fact you may recognise the imposing red sandstone walls, the marble floors and luxurious velvet curtains, the vaulted dining rooms, chandeliers and open fires and the candlelit Wine Cellar… as they have featured in films such as Robin Hood and Doctor Who 1973 and 2007.

Now the Castle opens its doors as a luxury hotel, with beautiful newly refurbished bedrooms, all with rich brocades and many with original fireplaces, radiating warmth and comfort. From executive rooms with extra space to four posters and suites for a romantic break, there is a wide range to choose from.
