The Art Hotel Atelier sul Mare is a unique museum-hotel in the world. The Atelier sul Mare is an unconventional mixture of hotel and permanent museum of contemporary art. The creation of 20 of the 40 bedrooms was entrusted to artists of international fame; the result being unique masterpieces.

Danielle Mitterand, Agnese Purgatorio, Antonio Presti, Cristina Bertelli (La Stanza dei Portatori d’Acqua), Mario Ceroli (La Bocca della Verità), Fabrizio Plessi (La stanza del Mare Negato), Mauro Staccioli (Trinacria), Renato Curcio (Sogni tra Segni), Maria Lai (Su Barca di Carta m’Imbarco), Raoul Ruiz (La Torre di Sigismondo), Paolo Icaro (Il Nido), Luigi Mainolfi (La Stanza della Terra e del Fuoco), Michele Canzoneri (Linea d'Ombra), Hidetoshi Nagasawa (Mistero per la Luna), Sislej Xhafa (Il Bagno Turco), Vincenzo Consolo, Umberto Leone e Ute Pyka (Lunaria – La Stanza della Luna).

Antonio Presti, artist, Patron of the Arts and creator of the “Fiumara d’Arte”, the largest park of open-aire sculptures in Europe (2km from the hotel) is the creator of this new concept of welcome, in which guests stay in a ‘live museum’, becoming part of the work of art itself and living it.

The originality and creativity make the Atelier sul Mare – which also offers interesting pottery courses – a place full of unrepeatable atmosphere, a journey through the history, countryside and culture of this land. Passing through the white façade and elegant hall, art continues to surround customers with exhibitions while savouring the tastes of the best of Sicilian tradition.
