Armathwaite Hall Country House Hotel and Spa is located in the spectacular Lake District, North West of England. Privately owned by the resident Graves family, it reflects a quality of life and old world hospitality of which the famous novelist Sir Hugh Walpole wrote "A house of perfect and irresistible charm".
Wood panelled public rooms with log fires and individually styled bedrooms show that Armathwaite Hall started life as one of England's stately homes. All rooms and suites have stunning views, the bedrooms in the Main House are of a more traditional style whilst the Spa Wing bedrooms have a more contemporary feel with ground floor rooms featuring private garden patios.

The hotel also offers a state-of-the-art conference centre, function rooms for weddings and civil ceremonies, and connoisseurs of fine cuisine will find much to appreciate at the lake view restaurant, accredited with one AA Rosette. The gastronomic delights draw inspiration from both traditional English fayre, Cumbrian specialties and classical French cuisine.

At the heart of Armathwaite Hall’s philosophy is the comfort and well being of the guests. Therefore, a new Spa project will be fully operational by the end of 2008, a topnotch complex with 12 beautiful holistic treatment rooms, 16 metre infinity pool, sauna, floor to ceiling waterfall, outdoor hot tub, hydrotherapy zone, dance studio and a top of the range gym. On the estate you can also play tennis or croquet. Clay shooting, quad bike safaris, archery and falconry may be booked at extra cost.
