Bio Hotel Hermitage

The Hermitage Biohotel is just three minutes from the centre of Madonna di Campiglio. In the centre of the Adamello Nature Park, the 19th century high mountain ex-‘maso‘ was re-opened in 1999 after careful renovation under bio-architecture rules: natural materials, wall and floor heating and allergenic fabrics.

The Maffei family have created a lounge which is not only healthy for guests but also where they can relax in harmony with nature. In typical Tyrolean style, the small hotel has an exceptional view over the splendid woods which stretch right up to the Brenta Dolomites. The rooms and mansard suites, furnished with the simplicity of mountain folk, follow the same principle as the rest of the building. The materials used are those from the surrounding countryside: wood treated with beeswax, terracotta, stone, terracotta fires, carpets in pure virgin wood...

As with the entire conception of the Biohotel, the welcoming ‘Stube Hermitage’ restaurant bases its cuisine on biological products, such as home-made bread, pasta and sweets, pastries and cakes as in ancient traditions. The high quality of the ingredients marry well with the hosts’ passion for good food and drink, giving the palate great pleasure.

Another ‘ jewel in the crown’ of the chalet is the wellbeing centre & spa which offers various facilities for a mountain holiday with relaxing rhythm: panoramic swimming pool, sauna and showers with oriental essences, Turkish bath with mountain herbs...And for those lovers of winter sports, there is a ski park with 150km of ski slopes, 40km of cross-country skiing tracks and furthermore, dog sleds, ice-skating, snow-bikes and ice-climbing.
