The Prete di Belmonte Residence is situated in the small ‘Cristo’ square next to the church of the same name, in the historical centre of Venafro.
Lined up with one of the ‘cardi’ (or ‘cardo maximus’: a Roman north-south orientated-street) of the ancient Roman city, built in a previous era, the building was substantially renovated in Neo-Classical style around 1860.
Surrounded by other buildings, there is an enchanting garden inside dominated by two secular palm trees and fragrant roses.
With period furniture, the rooms are on the upper floors, while breakfast and other meals can be taken in the wonderful frescoed salons with their sumptuous furnishings.
In the summer, dinner can be taken on the large terrace. The ancient carriage/coach house on the ground floor has been transformed into a salon for conferences, meetings and other celebrations.
