Baglio Spanò

Baglio Spanò, is a feudal estate and vineyard near Marsala, Trapani, and the summer residence of the Montalto Spanò ancestral family, dating back to the beginning of the 18th century. Surrounded by high walls, the Baglio has a large courtyard enclosing the owners’ houses, and some rural buildings where the harvested grapes were taken and wine-making took place.

The Baglio has two floors: on the ground floor, the cellars house the restaurant, where visitors can taste the delicacies prepared by the household.

The whole restaurant is surrounded by an orchard unleashing delightful fragrances from the fruit buds. A large salon on the first floor has a splendid view and leads to the independent bedrooms where normality is interrupted only by the rhythm of nature.

Breakfast, of typical local products, is served in the ancient cellar. The ancient tufa-stone arches, the barrels used for aging the Marsala, the grape press, the fermentation silos (today transformed into bathrooms), face the secular and enchanting orchard, whose fragrances and colours make this an exclusive place.
