Luzzano Castle, originally a Roman castle with neo-classic church and 17th century village houses, is situated on one of the first hills (300m height) between the Padana Plain between Piacenza and Pavia.
The ancient village houses, a lively red colour outside but each different inside, are today comfortable apartments.
The wood inside them comes from the estate’s trees and each room has its own essence: The Elm, The Lebanese Cedar, The Cherry. All the apartments have two floors: kitchen and living room on the ground floor, one or more bedrooms with bathroom on the first floor.
In front, a beautiful panorama of vineyards, while at the back, the old portico – once an area for timber storage and the courtyard animals, today a place of tranquillity where you can have lunch or sunbathe between lavender, sage and rosemary hedges, and laurel and pomegranate bushes.
The ancient 17th century customs-house has been turned into the inn and a restaurant which offers local cuisine specialities using the estate’s own products where possible.
