Villa Rodogallo, named after the ancient settlement which gave origin to the village of Sannicola, is a majestic 18th century residence reached by a long avenue of secular pine trees.
A few kilometres from Gallipoli, the villa is in the centre of the Santese family estate which is full of grape vines and orchards of olive, orange and fruit trees.
Guests’ first welcome is the large semi-circular square, paved in ancient basalt stone and decorated by four neo-classical style columns.
The Villa has two storeys, and a chapel with mosaic flooring inscribed with the new foundation date of “1810”. The red colouring of both buildings creates a pleasant contrast with the green of the surrounding countryside.
Next to the chapel, an arch leads to the garden and its vivaciously-coloured flowers of every species – from which the bedrooms take their names.
Salon with fireplace, period furnishings and panoramic terrace (from which you can admire suggestive sunrises and sunsets) seal the fascination of this residence.
Fresh fruit and sweet home-made pastries at breakfast delight guests.
