“Castle Venlaw Hotel” peers out over its far-reaching 4 acre estate, a monument to 18th century Baronial Scottish architecture, overlooking the royal and historic town of Peebles.

This castle brings you back to a time of both great elegance and drama, used as it was during the Great War to house the battle weary and wounded soldiers of the British army, then later lovingly restored and carefully converted into the present-day luxury Castle hotel.

In the turret of the Castle guests will find the hub of this fine manor, its library room lined with grand bookcases, where one can relax and enjoy hot chocolate or a great malt by the roaring fire, while reading one of the many classic books from the Castle’s collection.

The Library Bar is just as well stocked, with an impressive selection of local beers as well as Scottish malt whiskeys of course.

Bedrooms are unique, charming and inviting, with special Romantic Suites furnished with four poster beds, bathrooms with heated tiles, scented candles and champagne cooler to top off the special occasion.
