Castello Rubein

Splendid 12th century Rubein Castle is in Maia Alta, the most elegant residential area of Merano, which is famous for its cures and baths. In 1220, the residence was cited for the first time in documents of the Ruvina nobility, then later in ministerial documents of the counts of Tyrol.

Large suites, inside the ancient courtyard, are individually furnished with choice antiques, rugs and rare majolica stoves and have a suave atmosphere.

A spiral staircase in the ancient tower leads to a spectacular suite which occupies three floors and has a breathtaking view of the surroundings. In the park garden there is a refined atelier suite with all modern facilities.

Rubein Castle’s large salons are ideal for meetings and gatherings of every kind, while the 1455-consecrated Gothic-style chapel is very suggestive for romantic wedding ceremonies.
