Pergine Castle is a majestic 13th century castle surrounded by robust walls, situated on a hill dominating the Alta Valsugana Valley. For a long time it was the property of the dukes of Austria and then belonged to Emperor Massimiliano I.
Today the property of the Oss family, the castle functions as hotel, restaurant and museum. The bedrooms are in the Cles area and are soberly luxurious, characterised by the atmosphere of the ancient castle.
Breakfast is taken in La Sala del Trono, while the renaissance La Sala Nera is ideal for candlelit dinners. The restaurant offers regional dishes and seasonal food with weekly menus: cherry week, chestnut week, apple week.
A paradisiacal garden surrounds the castle, inviting guests to relax, read and renew themselves.
The five salons on the second floor (Sala del Balconcino, Sala del Vescovo, Sala della Stufa Verde, Sala del Principe and Sala della Dama Bianca) host exhibitions of the valley’s products, photographs of Valsugana, plants, and Pergine Castle documents.
