El Bosque de la Anjana

The Hotel El Bosque de la Anjana, is a very peculiar and "magic" hotel located in the town of Selores in the Cabuérniga Valley. It's original construction dates to 1882, and was converted into a hotel in 2009.

The hotel is named after the "good fairy of Cantabria", called Anjana, paying homage to "the Cantabrian forest fairies", by naming each room with a different fairy name. Fairy's according to local legends, still live in the forest.

All rooms have views to the mountains, plus a single unique decoration for each room. All details are inspired in these fairies of the forest, all brightly colored decorations plus beautiful artwork.

The Bosque de la Anjana Hotel has a bar where you can enjoy a variety of aromatic cafes, 98 varieties of beers from different parts of the world, as well as an impressive assortment of carpaccios and meats, all accompanied by fine Spanish, German and Hungarian wines.

The hotel location is perfect for those wishing to go hiking, biking and fishing, plus the entrance to the National Park Picos de Europa is located at just 50 minutes by car. The beaches of San Vicente de la Barquera are at 30 km and the hotel is at a 45 minute drive from Santander and its ferry terminal.
