The Posada Real La Montañesa is a building built in the 17TH century and has a privileged location.

The town where the hotel is located has a rich architectural and religious heritage, and greatly preservs the ancient taste of the stately Cantabria.

Everything is of touristic interest, while enjoying the history that vibrates in their lands, in particular, the famous Cantabrian Wars (Cantabrians against the Roman legions). Routes lead through the paths of the natural park of Saja Besaya.

In the main hotel portico is what formerly was the fourth of the Pilgrim (one of the humanitarian traditions of las posadas was to accommodate the pilgrims who made the Camino de Santiago).
