Castel Pietraio

The Castel Pietraio is situated at just a short walk from the village of Monteriggioni, in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Its oldest part, the tower, dates from 1300 and today the medieval castle has been carefully transformed in a welcoming property which offers accommodation in rooms and apartments.

Inside the park in the surroundings of the castle, guests can relax during summer in the outdoor swimming pool with its sun terrace. A barbecue area is also at their disposal.

The Castel Pietraio also produces exclusive wines and oils, which guests can taste and buy directly from the manufacturers in the wine cellars of the castle.
All rooms and apartments are furnished in historical style, with furnishings such as terraccotta floors, perfectly melted with modern comforts.

Given its location, from the castle guests can easily reach San Gimignano, many other beautiful historic towns and the village of Monteriggioni with its castle. Guests can also benefit from mountain bike excursions or from horse riding in the nearby riding stables.
