La Brunelde Domus Magna

The casaforte Brunelde Domus Magna is situated among the hills of Friuli in the village of Fagagna. The building has been erected on the ruins of a Roman military-farm villa, and it is historically linked to the Arcano's counts.

The current structure dates from the fifteenth century. The residence offers to its guests 3 double bedrooms, each with its private bathroom and heating.
The breakfast is served each morning in "Canipa", an ancient wine cellar laboratory placed under the protection of the Superintendency of Fine Arts, and furnished with antique furniture of Friuli tradition.

Upstairs, the reading room the ancient "Hall of Justice," is behind the ancient wooden and wrought-iron door recovered from the prison of Cervignano del Friuli.
The name derives from the use of this room in the past: it was the "justice court", where the processes related to the crimes committed in the surrounding lands took place.
