This elegant, monumental, fifteenth century building stands on the flood plains on the right bank of the Adige River in a landscape full of historical importance only 8 km from the centre of Verona. From this dominant position there is a panoramic view of Valpolicella and the heights of the western area of Lessinia.
Chiarastella and Ludovica Sagramoso Sacchetti have decided to bring back to life, their ancient Venetian villa, family home and focal point of their agricultural activity so that the atmosphere, traditions and flavours of the land and its past can be rediscovered and the historical heritage of our country can be appreciated.
Villa D’arco Sagramoso Sacchetti is framed by a beautiful garden. Planted in the early seventies and further extended at different times, in parallel with the restoration of the other buildings of the site (the Torre Colombaia, the Farmhouse, the Casa Butirri), the garden presents a number of fine specimens including Pinus pinea, Cupressus sempervirens, Quercus ilex, Quercus rubra, Laurus nobilis, Tilia americana, Magnolia grandiflora, Liriodendron tulipifera, Liquidambar chinensis, Morus alba.
A rich collection of lemon trees grown in the typical clay pots decorate the façade of the villa and the courtyard.
