Castello della Montecchia Farm Holiday i san oasis of peace in the heart of the Veneto region. The fruits of the talented labours of painter and architect Dario Varotari, the Capodilista Villa was built in 1568 as a hunting lodge. The building has a square shape which is a pleasant contrast with the lodges.
You can relax and study your next day’s itinerary under the shade of a lime-tree, sipping an excellent glass of wine, or have a dip in the swimming pool before gathering around the great table in the garden for lunch or dinner.
Adjacent to the Villa are the lodges “Casa di Nando”, “Casa del Prete” and “Casa di Maria” which are ideal places for a family holiday. The three lodges inside the medieval farm all have private gardens with table and chairs so that you can dine outside.
Inside the estate, there is also the Capodilista Castle with the “Camera del Maresciallo” suite, which can be rented as a B&B. The farm produces fine Merlot and Cabernet wines. The vast estate is an attractive proposal for those who love excursions and open-air activities such as golf and tennis.
