Borgo Alveria country resort was built on the ground where the former ancient monastery of the Orders of Friars Minor was situated, which had been built in 1451 and razed to the ground by the great earthquake that destroyed ancient Noto in 1693.
The resort is situated 700 m from the 'Porta Aurea' of Noto Antica and about 10 Km from nowaday's city, and surrounded by an ecceptionally beautiful landscape of naturalistic, archaeolog and historical interest.
It is composed of a long farmhouse hosting the restaurant and some 18th century blocks, renovated with a contemporary taste for hospitality, which are situated beyond an old stone portal. The façades made of amber-coloured stones have been completely restored and can now shine in their new splendour.
The resort disposes of 12 rooms, double or triple, all completely restored with a hint of modern taste and comfort, and furnished with modern design furniture and Sicilian antiques, of a relax area with breakfast and tea lounge, a solarium and a swimming pool.
Time at leisure can be enjoyed in several orchards, gardens and 19 hectares of land, partly grown and partly wild, choosing between a relaxing reading in the shade of a carob tree or a wonderful long walk through nature.
