Parador de La Granja

The Parador de La Granja is a wonderful example of the rich architectural heritage of this ancient royal site, with gardens and fountains in the Versailles style. The vast complex extends over a natural environment, very beautiful, just 11 km from Segovia, World Heritage city with its Alcázar, the Romanesque churches and monasteries in the heart of the Sierra de Guadarrama.

The Casa de los Infantes (Children's home), built in the XVIII century by Charles III has over 120 comfortable rooms, of which some are very spacious and bright, with hot-tubs and home theatre.

In the restaurant Puerta de la Reina you can enjoy traditional Castillian cuisine in total peace and elegance. The dishes are re-invented with a more modern touch by a team of professional young chefs. Not to be missed: the piglet or lamb roasted on wood fire, trout, "Judiones La Granja" (large white beans), dessert with egg yolk, almond paste or chocolate "migas"- all expertly accompanied by a fine wine cellar. During summer the terrace offers a very casual atmosphere with a special charm.

The wellness centre offers modern services (indoor pool, emotional showers, sauna, spa, cardio and relaxation areas, massages and special treatments), and outdoor pool during the summer.
Guests can also enjoy sports and free time in the surrounding areas: hiking, tennis, horseback riding, canoeing, golf, hot air balloon races. And in the area they can admire the Palace and Museum glass of La Granja Palace Riofrìo (11 km), without forgetting, of course, Avila, Segovia and Madrid.
