The imposing Castle of Zuda presides over the town of Tortosa with its artistic and historical heritage. The X century fortress, turned into a Parador, dominates the fertile valleys of the river Ebro and the Massiccio de Montecaro.
The hotel is built on top of the town, in an environment that combines the monumental beauty of the city with the attractions of various natural enclaves that surrounds it.
Rahman III decided to build the fortress, that today houses the castle, together with four magnificent windows in Gothic Catalan style. The interior of the hotel assimilates the predominance of Christian and Regal figures, alongside a wide range of classic furniture and wood beams. The walls are covered with Arab motifs and the dining room is truly a sight with its Gothic windows and here guests can enjoy the specialities that the Parador has to offer.
The Cathedral and Jewish quarter, the outdoor Museum of the sculptor Santiago de Santiago, the Picasso Museum in Horta de Sant Joan, Benifallet Caves, Miravet Castle, the Cooperative Wine Pinell de Brai and the Tortosa and Beceite gates (30 km) are among the most important places of interest in the area, but also the local traditional festivals such as the Spring Fair are worth a visit.
