Sole del Chianti

“Sole del Chianti” is set amongst secular olive trees and in the green vegetation of Val di Pesa, where the air is fragrant with cypress trees and wild herbs; It offers farm holidays, B&B and apartments in a splendid century-old country villa - owned by the Fusi family for some time – and the adjacent ancient hay loft barn hosts the restaurant and the luxurious 100-square-metre Cottage Poggiarello, with large portico and private garden, on the first floor.

The Villa is welcoming with a large and characteristic terracotta-tiled salon with arches, wooden beams and stone walls which, together with its typical Tuscany fireplace, gives you a really magical atmosphere. Other large lounge areas with fireplaces, games room with internet facility, and many fully equipped kitchens which are perfect for having a go at preparing delightful Tuscany lunches, are distributed on the ground floor and first floor.

From the salons and kitchens, there are lovely outside areas fully equipped for lunches and dinners in the open-air, with comfortable sun loungers and hammocks to relax on. Especially beautiful is the large outdoor swimming pool with hydro-massage and waterfall effect over the valley below. Perfectly set in one of the most scenic areas of the valley, it has breathtaking views of the Florence countryside.

There are 7 bedrooms on the first floor, each with special characteristics such as a loft, a large terrace with splendid view, a Jacuzzi tub…On the second floor, a kind of dovecote hosts the ‘Capoccio’ with a 360° panorama. Finally, two spacious apartments – La Casetta on the ground floor (60 square metres) and Belvedere (220 square metres and having 2 floors), will make you feel as though you are in a private holiday home.

Whatever your choice, it can be made pleasanter thanks to the Wellness Centre, a delightful relaxation area with gym sauna, hydro-massage and automatic beds for shiatsu massages. It is also possible, on request, to have massages and beauty treatments of your choice.

And while your body is being pampered, your palate will be tempted by the flavours of the famous Tuscany cuisine, served in the comfortable restaurant with summer verandah and enriched by local products from its own farm, such as olive oil and excellent Chianti wines, which can also be bought here. Not to be missed are the tastings and cooking lessons by the chef.
Furthermore, made-to-measure tours can be organized, according to the wishes of guests - cultural, art cities, shopping, and on request, horse riding, golf or hot-air balloon rides.
